art + chocolate
i couldn't be a chocolatier if i could not create my own images in chocolate!
i mix natural color powders (from fruits and vegetables) with melted cocoa butter, add a little pearly edible mica powder and get down to painting, or stamping with simple objects in quick quick strokes before it cools, then pour
warm chocolate onto it so that the image melts into the chocolate...
occasionally some airbrushing, too - though i always return to the brush.
like most artists, i like to break the rules, so i sometimes create surface texture to contrast w the shiny cocoa butter perfection ... a little roughness is a good thing ... keeps one humble.
this is my gift to you - a bit of playfulness, contemplation, of the moment...
