the word means hurt, or wounded...
these are beautiful pieces of chocolate that have small air bubbles or such that do not affect quality at all, (just made on an extra cool day, etc.) but wasting energy resources seems unmindful, so they get extra attention:
they are handpainted with edible mica powders mixed with my own fresh buddha's hand citron infused spirit - for luck !
this relates to kin-tsugi: the Japanese tradition of restoring a ceramic work by painting the mend or crack with gold & lacquer. you may or may not find one in your box - but if you do, think of it as a bit of the shared richness of life.
